you will feel the difference... its almost impossible to tell you exactly how much acceleration you will loose... but it will be some and it will be noticable.

I just tested mine out with +1 tooth front sprocket. Seems ok, definately not as stout. I will be doing more riding here soon. I will post more then. Me and my buddy went different ways with sprockets and its really hard to say which I like more. All in all, both were close. My guess is when I piped my raptor it felt like it had alot more throttle response, now with the +1 it feels similar to a stock raptor as far as how it feels in general but it is still quicker, just doesnt have that feel. Kinda hard to explain hopefully you are understanding what Im trying to say. I do see advantages of both though. I have yet to try a 12 tooth on my 4 wheeler yet though. That might happen at the dunes. Im gonna try different combos for front 12,13,14 tooth sprockets for front stock 40 for rear.

With all the racing we did today. Just did some testing.

+1 on harder pack dirt some rocks launching 1 first gear. If he launched out of first with -1 I would jump him he spun hard and by the time he hooked and shifted it was too late I was out on him.

now with him launching in 2nd it was alot closer. It was damn near tire to tire until I will went a stretch then my gearing came into effect and i started to pull a little.

We switched bikes a for a few races. Still about the same results.

If I hook and dont bog from the bigger gear I will say I like it i think but I dont know whats gonna happen at the dunes. All I know is he spanks my *** usually at the dunes. I think some is paddles and some is hes a little better rider then me plus I weigh a little more but a wins a win.

The best thing I can say is buy +1 and -1 and try them both out see which you like more. Go by feel and run someone with a comparable machine. Because before we actually raced I told him "I think this 14 is coming off here for the dunes". Then we ran em and it was kinda suprising to me.
