sprokets

Default sprokets

how much more top end will u have on a raptor if u add a tooth to ur front sprocket. how hard is it to change front sprockets on them? thanks-paul

probably wont gain too much... and they arent that hard to change... just gotta loosen the chain as much as you can and take all the chain guards off... then the sprocket. less than 30 minutes if you have any mechanical ability.

like + 5mph? and on the torquey raptor, will it really decrease acceleration that much? what about if i add 2 to the front. i am only talking about the front because i hear they are cheaper.

ya probably around 5ish...
you will loose alot of acceleration with +2 in the front... the front is cheaper...
but how often do you hit your top speed? there is no sense in adding bigger sprockets just to be "faster" on top.

yes, i agree, but, if adding 1 will give me a 5mph more top end, and not take away any accel, i would rather do that, adding 2 is way to much tho.

1 tooth will make it slower until top speed...

i read tho that the raptor has so much power it can pull taller gearing with ease

i have no doubts about that... but it wont be as fast as if you had a stock or smaller sprocket on it...

I went down 1 tooth on the frt and didn't loose too much top end but gain alot of low end well worth it in i think Sorry don't know about going up a tooth just tought it might help

how mcuh more low end did u get, if u can give me an example. and how much top end did u loose, or couldnt u really tell?thanks
