$250 Blaster????
A guy I work with has an old Blaster he says he'll sell me for $250. Of course it needs some work. He says it runs but the plastic is pretty busted up and the "wiring harness" has been cut. Says it was vandalized at one time and they slashed all the tires and everything on it.
I figure if it's in any kind of shape at all and complete it's worth more than $250.
I'm thinking it's something I could fix up a little and have as an extra bike for my wife and kids.
They just started putting titles on quads in the last 5 years or so in Ohio - and he said it's older than that and doesn't have a title but he'd give me a sale receipt and I could title it if I wanted. So I can only assume it wasn't previously stolen if he's willing to do that.
Any thoughts? Anything in particular I should check?

$250 Blaster????
For $250 I don't see any reason not to get it!! Even if you need to rebuild the motor, it's still a bargain...With all the aftermarket parts available I know I would have a grand ole time fixing it up for someone to ride....As long as the frame isn't bent off like a "U" I would grab it right up.....

$250 Blaster????
I am not sure how Ohio works with titles. I would contact you DMV and get the number ran on the frame. When they bought the quad new it came with a Bill of orgion or State title. I never understand kids selling fairly new quads for cheap without paperwork. I stay away No title no sale

$250 Blaster????
up here in wisconsin we dont got titles and stuff, it is all in the registration...... u pay 20 bucks to get it registered to you..... they send you a card, like a hunter safety card or something, and when u sell the quad.... that is what you give the next guy who will then take it to the DNR and get it registered in his name and thats all she wrote.

$250 Blaster????
Well - I went and looked at it. Couldn't find any numbers on it but I'm pretty sure it's an 88 or 89. To say it's a basket case is putting it mildly. Basically all I'm getting is a frame and motor - everything needs replaced. Were talking wheels, tires, brakes, wiring, light, handlebars and levers, plastic, shifter, carb.... you name it. It could be resurected if someone really wanted that much of a project - but I'll look for something else and pay a little more. Thanks to all who gave input.
