ok u unscrew the plug, have the plug still in the cap and kick it over look at the plug while u turn it over and if theres a spark its good if there in none its fouled simple as that

u have to ground it, or get it close to metal or nuthing will happen.

thanks for all the help guys. It ended up being that i forgot to properly connect the throttle. Didnt even need to check for spark. But atleast i learned something new.
