Yeah you do... just like an MX bike. Must be why I like mine so much.
I feel much more comfortable on my friends trx 250r. Its setup for mx and its a more natural feel. Just me...

At 5'10 the YFZ feels perfect size for me, as does it when my 6'3 buddy rode it. To be honest I think the only ones talking crap about the YFZ are mad they bought something else

I'm 5-11" and i spent 7-8G's lowering and widening the raptor to get it to handle with the engine mildly modded. and spent the whole time with all my weight on the tank and using all my weight to correct that pig in the air on jumps.

going to the YFZ is very diffrent...but it's a quad that dances around you. and rips more than any raptor. the raptor is a beast that your trying to ride and tame through the woulds. sure..after you get accustomed to it's handling...it's managable. but it's one tourquy mother f'r that's got some weight behind it...look out!

you can always raise the bars or lower the pegs on the YFZ. but honestly...you should just suck it up and learn to ride a real performance quad. everyone else is just being nice...you'll quit before the YFZ ever will...it's designed to keep you in an aggresive stance. for people who ride aggresively. cruising around on a YFZ is not what they had in mind.

sorry if this sounds harsh...but...it is what it is...and so is the YFZ. you sound like you'd be more suited for a TRX or a Z400. more balanced than the raptor with the ergonomics you've become accustomed too.

Ive spend too much money on suspension for my rappy as well. It really comes down to preference. If you are going to be trail riding all day, you dont need a machine that is built for mx. Many people are happy on kfx700's to just cruise around all day. Its not an issue of who has more hair on their chest. Some people dont like the ride or arent comfortable, so they get something else.

My brother is around 6'0 tall, and his knees hit the handlebars on the YFZ. I'm 6'0 but they didn't hit mine....he is basketball tall, with long legs. So it's all about how your built really, and a set of aftermarket bar's will fix the problem for most.

And I to am shocked that Diescarred has jumped ship to the new YFZ. But it's whatever you want, and what you have the cash for. I've still got alittle more building to do this summer on the Raptor. I have two more upgrades....one will be in a month or so. Maybe 2 months, and the other will happen around July or August. Maybe September at the latest. But needless to say, I'm ready for the YFZ running around here.

It feels small at first, but as I , and many have stated before, the feelings of a hard seat and small egros, goes away as soon as you ride it. I call it parking lot uncomfortable, but other wise its great. I had chance to do some desert riding on Sandahaulers yesterday, first chance to ride one not in the dunes....I really liked it. Sorry, Dave, but I have only one complaint, stock bars have to go!lol It is every bit what its cracked up to be. I like how the power hits harder and like a 3stroke..... I do liek that my R is a little easier to control the throttle, for gettign the front end light, tech stuff in the desert. I could ride 5th gear weelies on mine, and had a hard time getting his light in the front end at high speed.
