BIG GUN EXHAUST KILL'S POWER!!!
Jumpin' in with the crew and say jetting 100%, it will make you slower if it ain't tuned right, but anything improperly tuned is no better than something less tuned perfectly. That's why some machines are faster in stock forms then the one bought right next to it, some of it is the tolerances of how it was built, but mostly in the tuning. I beat alot of Raptors in my area with the same mods cause I garauntee they aren't tuned worth crap, cause they don't put up a fight at all, they just think it's the kind of pipe they bought. I've had a hard time beating Predators when I was badly jetted, then when jetted right, I'd pull two to three quad lengths to the top end and just walk away not even trying when they had intake and pipe work done just like me. Tuning is the difference between winning and losing, and your $300 pipe being worth something, or nothing at all in your mind! What do Grizz's run for stock jetting anyhow? Do one thing at a time, not 5 mods at a time, and run with some good jetting kits like DynoJet that will tell you from tuning experiences what should run best on your machine, don't trust what pipe manufacturers tell you to jet, I never found most very accurate at all, cause it's just for the pipe, not anything else you put on, or for altitudes and temps your running in.

My Grizz came with a 153.5 main jet, I tried 160,165, and 170. I was unable to go above 160 with out it cutting out on top end. The first mod I did was the K@N, later the pipe then I tried jetting. It's all back to stock now except I left the K@N installed. Think I like it just fine the way it was designed to be. Thanks for the replies folks. Will be selling the Big Gun pipe.

The Big Gun website calls for a 155 mainjet. You should definitely try their suggestion before you throw it away. I have a power tech 4 and it didn't do much until I got alot more air to go in first. I put 10 Uni filter vents in my airbox lid and wow! I had a K&N filter and OUterwares and a dyno jet kit. I am now running a 160 and am going to a 165. This is more like a stock 170 or 180 because the dyno jets flow faster. If the pipe likes a lot of air you have to let it in. Now my griz runs like a raped ape. If you still want to get it to work then try giving it more air.
