How much weight would that save? I've considered it too, but it wouldn't be worth it for just a couple pounds.

 

I took them off my 250r on alky thinking the same thing. that lasted about 2 trips after some kids pulled in front of me when riding in 6th gear and almost killed one and myself. thought my rear brakes wernt working when I looked down and they were locked up. also couldent stop at the top of the hill very well so think how the bottem will be.riding fast through the dunes and you come up on a drop off and or a witches eye what do you plan on doing with the split second you had to stop.hang on and hope you ride through it or bail. I got lucky those 2 trips and not everyone is a good rider like me.10lbs dosent win you a race a brain and a fast bike wins races. you can drop 10 pounds other ways.No front brakes is scarry and dangerous as hell, leave them on, not for me but the guy in front of you. Thats my advice.

 

Im confused.
I thought raptor owners were always complaining that the front end is to light. And you want to make it even lighter? If its for drag then I would think that the weight in the front end would be a advantage.

 

LOL!! Yes this is going to be for the drags, I will only do straight drags only and no hills but if I want to do hills I will definitely put them back on. I wont sell them just in case!!!

I know it does sound crazy but yes I have seen lots of bikes including the Z400 with no brakes and they fly. I will just have to get used to letting off the throttle a way head of time.

The seat thing did cross my mind I will admit that. I took the subframe off and it looked like a scooter!!!!!
