in stock form, does the raptor pull very hard through all the gears, or does it lag a little. what about if ur going up a slight hill, or a very steep hill, thanks-rider1169

 

pulls pretty hard through 3rd..than it just kind of blah...

 

The Raptor pulls me through the gears pretty fast and it doesnt really lag at all for me. I can climb most any hill I want to but there are alot of hills that Modded quads wont even make it up.

 

i mean like topend, can it whip right through 4th and 5th with ease?

 

and what about after pipe filter and smaller front sprocket by 1 tooth?

 

Yeah, I think you can through 4th pretty quick. Depends on what kind of terrain your riding on. It gets pretty weak in 5th gear though....at least that's my opinion. But that's nothing a few minor mods can't help..

 

I thought the gearing on the stock Raptor was a little high so I changed the front sprocket from a 13 tooth to a 12 tooth which I believe is about the same as adding 2 teeth to the rear. added a pipe,jetted it and installed a dual stage Pro Design filter It pulls thru hard in every gear now.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
