If you want the truth..Don't buy any thing. All they do is break. No matter what you get.

I had a Blaster, it blew up 3 times, Trailblazer, cracked tranny case, 300EX, nothing but electricial problems, and leaks oil.

All you will do is spend money. A met a couple new ATV riders tonight, they all had new machines, one a warrior, a 400ex, and Scrambler 500. All 00

The warrior is a total lemon, the 400ex, he's has it in for tranny problems(not sure what type) the scrambler, cracked tranny case.

Yo, get a Blaster. Nice bike, I had a 95. Only probs I had was cracked pistons, but we had used cheapy *** oil. once I started usin the actual oil, it ran great. I wanted more speed, a reliable less-maitinence 4 stroke, electric start and reverse, so I got a 96 Warrior. love it even more.....peace

well what will you be liking when the 1986 fourtrax is passing you on side off the rode when you have problems hell save your money and get a 86,87,88,89 fourtrax you will get speed and realibality best quad made and speed is there for only 1500.00 dollars more or maybe a 1000.00 you can find one since you would be spending 3g on a blaster get something worth while

my suggestion to you would be a kawasaki mohave. i know this is a yamaha forum and you wanted a yamaha but this mohave is a very reliable machine and the perfect size for your age it has plenty of speed although you wont win many races without mods.what you will do is enjoy the hell out of it wile your friends are working on their yamahas. i have 6 quads and4 kids - one is your age and he loves the mohave. for that matter so do i - its very fun. i would recomend it for the description that you gave.

I say Raptor if you can afford it! The reveiw said it was very easy to drive. It has electric start and reverse too. Even though it has incredible power and can kill you if you arent carefull, its still a great, versataile quad by the looks of it. Good luck!
