I jus bought a new Raptor and my buddy wants to race me, he also jus bought a new Honda 450r. Both are stock. Im pretty sure he doesnt stand a chance but i wanted yall's opinion.

 

from what I here stock for stock it should be a pretty even race

A couple of weeks ago my son (450R) and I (Raptor) were racing up Olds at Glamis--dead even 4 different times going up the hill after the woops.

 

No i havnt raced any YFZs yet but plan to get smoked here soon....i was curious if the 450r is all what they say it is

 

well the 450R is running pretty strong. today i watched a 450R and a raptor race on the highway. they started around 350 yards away maybe farther than that. and the 450R stayed about two lengths ahead the whole way until they got in front of us then the raptor would barely ease by maybe half a quad lenght. top speed wise the raptor is faster maybe 1 mph faster. both quads were stock and both riders weighed within 15lbs of each other both had around the same experience. so as far a drag racing the 450R is quicker. they raced atleast 5 times and the results was the same.

 

Should be close. No the 450r isnt what they say. This weekend there I was at sand mountain nevada. There were a lot of 450r's there. Some with hrc kits, some stock, some with hrc kit plus an aftermarket pipe. Not once did one ever get close to beating me. Im pretty much stock. One guy seemed sort of pissed off that he kept losing. Hahaha. Should have bought the yamaha.

 

Well we are going to be racing on a flat track so im wondering if he will get me in the corners cause of his lower seat height
