My Grizz 600 over heated and now fails to start, when I try it just backfires there is a good spark at the plug and fuel is getting through. I have adusted the carb but still get the same backfires.

Has anyone got an ideas about this.

How long did you wait to try to start it after it over heated. Maybe the cylinder expanded and never contracted. id dont know if this is possible but if that was the case. you might try to check the compresion. Just an idea.

Half an hour isnt much time to cool off, make sure you have no air leaks, or the carbs didnt pop off when it backfired, mine popped off once after a backfire

check the valve adjustment.
When a motor is overheated, it can cause lots of problems, like a head gasket. Hopefully this isnt your problem, but if the valves look good, and it still wont start, check the compression.
