im not new to riding atvs but am interested in purchasing one in the 350 class. i would like a 4wd but am not sure if i can afford one. im stuck between a bruin and a rancher. i have ridden both auto and manual atvs and dont mind shifting. i like the sportyness of these two atvs but have you herd how the rancher 4wd controls and is it full time. plz help.
thanks.

What do you plan on using this atv for?

The rancher is a great machine. Great low end, good power and goes through a lot for an sra 350. Full time 4wd does change the handling, but its still very easy to ride on tight trails and long distances. Its also rock solid reliable.

Well, the Bombardier Outlander 330 beat the Bruin 350 in all catagories in the April Dirtwheels.

Just in case you wanted to consider another choice....

i think its going to be used for a little plowing but nothing over 6 inches. i also plan on using it on some pritty rough trails and i hope it can hold its own to a scrambler and a big bear. I also read that article in the april dirtwheels and may have agreed about the smaller chassis and tippy handling of the bruin, seeing how the other yamahas ride. but the outlander is out of my price range and out of my wieght class. besides the plastic cargo racks dont to it for me.

i do not know much about 4wheel drives, i'm more into sportquads, but my grandpa has a bruin and it seems to go really well.

a guy I ride with has a bruin, nice 4x4, but I'd go with what lapeer said, I'd go with a wolverine, more sport-ier IMO

I ride Honda's but I'll admit that the Wolverine is the only quad that has the perfect blend of sport and utility.
