yfz head pipe glowing?

Default yfz head pipe glowing?

someone had a pic of there yfz head pipe right where it comes out of the engine red hot. is this really bad, or it just gets hot, does it harm anything else like melt plastics or is it far enogh away from anything it doesn do anydamage. what causes this.

I got a picture of the pipe [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] After i re-jetted it doesnt get that red anymore.

after u got the mods u mean, u let it unjetted after the mods for a while?

Default yfz head pipe glowing?

I wouldn't worry to much. I went ridding with a buddy on Sportmans. Him on a 700 and me on a 500, and when we went on the gravel roads coming home you could look down to the engine and see the first 2-4 inches of the pipes glowing orange. It was the first time I've ever noticed it but thats something I never really looked for.
