silencers only dont do anything but sound, wont take away power wont really add, so it doesnt matter, if u want speed and power get a head pipe with it :my favs- toomey b-1, fmf sst pipe

Any modification to an exhaust system that increases flow or relieves back pressure will only help...

The gain may not be as noticable as a full system would offer...but there is a gain none the less. Taking the restrictive baffling out of stock exhaust system has been known to give a bit better throttle response, etc.

I have only had experience with fmf silencers on the blaster...they seemed to work fine.

LRD or Toomy would be the best, but work good on modified engins.
If you aren't getting into porting then go with the Toomy. I use FMF and am satisfied with that
