I haven't had any first hand experience with them but it seems there good for low end and mid range power and good throttle response but you loose a little top end. For trails or track I think it would be a good carb.

*thumbs up*

More power everywhere - really linear now. Zero loss on top end.

I run this carb, BTW...

I ran a guy that said "I've got everything" and he had an Edelbrock carb. Visually, he had Elkas all around, Yoshi exhaust, and some aftermarket plastic. His Raptor did NOT run better than a stocker...he got half tracked. The Edelbrock carb looks tiny on the Raptor too.....I do not see how it could have the same top end as the stock carbs IMO.

So, who cares - come back after you've put one on your Raptor when your opinion on this topic will mean something...

I'm so sick of people busting on this carb when they have ZERO experience with the set-up. I've talked to a few other fellow Quicksilver owners and no one complains about performance (now throttle pull is another story).

First What's the deal??? I posted this same question about a week ago with zero replys?? AlaskaYFM I'm very curious on how the power comes on with the quicksilver.. same as stock? stronger than stock? or weaker than stock? I hate the two carb setup on the Rap but I want the same type throttle responce as it has now... before I spend the money. I'm running basicly stock cept for the usual jet kit, K&N, and a Yoshi pipe.

Im going to be looking into new carbs within a year or 2, how do they compare to fcr's when you have a highly modded engine? Will they be able to supply enough fuel with an alcohol setup? The reasons I ask is because I might try to get a yfz and start to do tracks, and make the raptor all out dragger, with a 13:1 or 14:1 if I can find. Just thoughts, nothing written in stone yet. Just trying to think ahead, which would be better to supply alot of fuel, comparing fcr to stock, comparing edlebrock to stock, and comparing fcr with eldebrock.
