raptor Maintenance
#1
hey,
Does any one know what kind of maintenance you would need to do to a raptor. I am interested in buying one but i was told they involve a lot of maintenance. I currently own a warrior and change the oil more than neccasary, today i found the case on the rear brake side was leaking. Has any ever heard of the gasket going bad on this side. What kind of maintence am i looking at on the raptor for like a 6 month period.

Break in oil changes, check the coolant, check the oil, change the oil, clean air filter, put in gas.
Thats about it on a stock machine. My cousin still has a stock 02 and all he has ever done is change the oil 2 times and put gas in it. It runs great.
(you need to change the oil more than that though, especially if you ride a lot)

reg oil changes, once in a great while, if ur throttle is hesitating u might need to get a vavle adjustment, clean filter, change plugs after a long while, clean carb, oil chain, tighten chain, bleed brakes, get it tuned after break in, very easy job keeping it running. great reliable bikes, not much maintence at all, same as any other 4stroke.
