I have ridden ATV's my hole life starting out on a 250R... I only weigh around 175-180 and he just started riding this week... Either way it will be a blast when we race, if we ever do!!

 

I think that with the mods that you listed you will beat him if he is completely stock. Ditching the factory exhaust does more with the raptor than with any other machine. You prob. gained 5 to 8 hp by doing that. Definately start out in second!

Depends on the rider and the conditions. I went to the dunes this weekend a guy on a ds with a WB slip-on at least. I didnt look at his quad all that great. But he decided to call out our group of riders on raptors to race and well he got spanked race after race. Our group is running slip-ons or full pipes just the simple bolt ons which im sure he had too. It was quite funny that he called us out and got whooped. I missed a gear and he only beat me by half a bike. Im not gonna say its all typical because last year with a little different setup(on my Raptor) a guy on a ds went by me by about 2 bikes and never got any farther ahead but I know he had a complete pipe with some possible other mods that bike ran pretty good. The main thing is you can never know if someone is completely stock either. I will also add I run crappy sand gecko paddles.
