well if its a 2004 ds 5then youll probably loose but if your shifting is faster than his and your light enough to start out in second than you have a chance, also what surface are you facing on? pavement? or dirt? the right set of tires should certanly help you out. next with a good exhaust and air filter you may want to open up or drill holes in your airboxfor increased flow. should give you an edge. next look in magazines for project atvs and see if you can match some of the cheaper things that they did. good luck when you race and you may want to order some graphics and decals. just the preformance look could make him nervous about riding or if you want i know a banana in his tail pipe takes off anout 15 ponies on a ds.

 

if its an 04 DS i think he will win. but u said u have some mods so i dont know. If they were both stock the 04 ds would win

 

I am 110+ lighter than him and I can start out in second... My shifting is good to... I know my shifting is fast also, from practice...

 

That is at least 200lbs less weight you have. You'll take him.
