Maybe your valves are screwed up (out of adjustment). Good luck with the dealer. Unless you know exactly what you want them to do, you are pretty much at their mercy and they are not very mercifull. They're out to make a buck and will do whatever it takes to get as much out of you while doing as little work as possible.
For the dealers and mechanics on the forum that aren't out to screw us, I apologise, but there are more bad apples than good.

My dealer called me back finnaly and said its gonna cost 400 dollars to fix it, Something with internal cords or something like that, The wires inside the engine they said. Its normally suppose to cost 500 from Yamaha but my dealer called them and asked about getting a better deal because my Raptor is only 8 months old and my warrenty ran out after 6 months and that we bought 4 quads from them in the past year so they gave us 100 off. They said we treat are quads good and maintain them really really good, that it wasnt my fault it just happened. They said they have had a couple in that have done it to so it wasnt just mine that did it. I wont get it back for like 10 days but when it comes back I will be ready to ride again
