Riding in Sand
#1
Seeing as most of you live in america I am guessing that alot of you ride in sand. Well my mate and I go riding the sand dunes alot he has a Suzuki king quad 300 and I have a big bear 350 and my bike seems to climb the dunes a lot better we just wondered why? what makes a good sand riding bike? His bike runs the same tyres but his have a lot more grip left his bike is lighter i think and his also has diff lock so I thought his would be better. We thought it might be because my bike has more power so I can run a higher gear does anyone know for sure? Also what country are you all from I live in NewZealand anyone else??

A good sand Quad should:
-Be light
-Rev quick (2-strokes make good duners)
-have posi, locking, or solid rear axle/dify
-have large footprint/surface area on the sand. This helps it float and gives it traction. (paddles are best)
I ride at Pismo Beach California, and Sant Mt Utah.
Good luck
