Check the oil injection system. If the oil injection is blocked off, make sure it was done properly. Some people just remove the tank and cut the lines from the carb to the pump inside the case. Often people forget to plug the fitting on the carb and dirt gets in through the opening and causes damage to the top end. Also check all the bushings and bearings. The a-arm bushings are known to wear out rather frequently, but are inexpensive to replace ($30 on ebay). As mentioned before if you buy a blaster made prior to 03, make sure all the brakes work good. Other than that they are great little quads that can be made pretty quick with a couple mods.
