Default Boring banshee cycliders

Ive been trying to get a banshee to race for quite some time and I now found one but the kid tells me that he blew the engine or one piston and bored out one side .02 over and put in a new piston and everything needed with other cyclinder still stock. Will this give me any problems in the future with anything like the transmission or anything. Or any ideas. I have no idea why he didnt bore out both sides but?
Help.

the .020 over piston will be heavier than the stock bore piston which will result in the crank not being balanced. this is a big no no.
