Jetting is a pain in the @$$. You gotta take off the front fender and tank ,rejetting the carb itself is very easy and self explanitory but then you have to put it all back together.Nothing like the ol' 250 R. But you won't be sorry with the results. Well worth the effort.

just pull off all the front plastic and pull the tank of, and pull out the carbs and take out the 8 screws in the bottom, and change the bronze colored screws and put in the new ones, then put it all back together. it is an easy process, just a pain in the butt... yea, i miss the blaster and 250r's, all u had to do was pull back the boot and there the carb was. i miss those days, lol

Take off seat front fender and gas tank undo the 4 screws on the clamps for the boots and undo the hoses flip the carb over undo the 8 bolts on the float. be careful not to get it dirty.. then take a flat head screwdriver and in the middle of the carb there is a jet that is inside a sleve take that out see what it reads on the back end of it it should say something like 145/? or sumthing if you get a pipe also see what the instructions suggest for jet sizes after that is installed.. then go buy 10 or so differnt jets.. and try going up in incriments put the larger jet in the right carb and ride the bike if it feels fine take the jet up if it still feels fine take it up again you gotta get it up to the top end of the gear such as third if u put a jet in and it lags at top end then pull that one drop 1 size smaller in then play with the needles on the top of the carb udner the black plastic covers.. there will be instructions in the jet kit. but when you are testing the jet sizes leave the bike not intack just after u put the jet in and the bowls back on put th ecarb back in tighten it up and the just place the gas tank on the bike it will stay and u can even hook the seat up and it will sit fine.. then ride it and change it it is a long process but its worth it from what i hear.. im still working on mine.. getting it fixed up if you are very familiar with the jetting process check out my posts i just posted thanks

As stated earlier, it's a pain in the rear. Get some allen head screws at the local Lowes or Home Depot for the carb bowls.
