Raptor shift
#2
I tried moving it ahead today works great. I just cut the linkage off of the shifter and moved it ahead about 3/4 of an inch drilled a hole and welded it in. Much better shift feel. Almost imposible to find neutral, but thats better than shifting into it all the time. I can take picture if anyone is interested in trying it.

I don't have the quad anymore to take a picture, It was really easy to do thou. Just drill out where the linkage goes into the shifter, weld that hole up and drill one towards the toe part of the shifter and weld the linkage in that hole. I tried several other shifter and this modified one was by far the best.

If you want a BIG difference in shifting, buy a direct shifter.
It eliminates all of the stock linkage, and the difference in shifting gears is sooooo much smoother.
My 2 cents.....
