The left port only services 1 valve, while the right services 2. Thats why the jetting is higher on the right side carb.
Let me make that clearer. The left carb primarily hits the single valve, and the right primarily the right 2. The chamber is all one area but the carbs have a better shot to the repspective locations.
If you want to get real technical - The smaller hole uses less gas as the right needs more..... LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
