and for what its worth, I know a guy with a stepside Sierra full size. He fits his Grizz with 27" 589's in it with the tailgate shut. I've got a stepside now, but haven't put mine in it yet. I know it will fit, but not sure if the tailgate will close or not. I run 27" claws, but I also put a boat cushion in front of it to keep it out of the back glass, and that does make it longer.

My Eiger does not fit in the back of my Toyota. It's a standard bed, so it's about 6 1/2 feet long, but I have to leave the tailgate down and tie it in in 4wd with the parking brake on.
I doubt a Griz would fit between the tire wells, since it's slightly wider. Eiger BARELY fits, and that's only because the front tires are still the little narrow stock Dunlops. And even then it's a super tight fit.

I have an 03 Sierra 2500HD short box and my 660 Raptor, with custom bumper
and rear six pack rack just barely fits. The biggest problem I have is loading it.
With a 6ft ramp, the angle is so steep that I don't feel comfortable driving it up
into the bed, so I drive it onto the ramp and use a manual come-along to winch
it the rest of the way in. I think a Grizzly will fit, but it's going to be tight!
