My brother did that once with his Polaris Sportsman. I think the brakes froze on him, and when they let go, he went through the back window of his chevy. Heh, gave him an excuse to get a sliding rear window.

Maybe you could leave the tailgate down and use about 10 ratchet straps to hold it in.

Yes. It will. With stock tires, I would bunjee a boat cushion to the front rack and drive it in, then shut the gate. With the bigger tires, seemed like the gate would almost shut but not quite, and I had to strap it in. Most of the time I was carrying it, I had a tool box in there, and I just backed it up to the tool box and then strapped it down. Never had a problem.

If width was part of your question, no problems.

If you have a 01 sierra with a wooden box liner and 27" itp tires on the grizz it won't fit. The tailgate will not close because of the larger tires. The larger tires make it about 4" longer

A buddy of mine has a 98 chevy shortbed and a grizzly 660 with 28 inch mudzillas on it and its fits in his truck, you just have to slam the tailgate because of the tires.

You need to state whether you hae a full size or small truck, if you have a full size then yes, if you have a mini it will not fit between the fender wells without driving over them, and this is a disaster waiting to happen on the back glass. When my dad bought his they gave him a free trailer to load it on (I'm sure they tacked it in somewhere) but he has an s-10 and it will not fit.
