Hello all, we just bought this quad for my kids to ride. $700 for quad and plow. It's been stored for atleast 6 yrs maybe 8. The air filter fell apart in my hand, new 1 on the way. The carb is soaking, I've got a filter and oil, lube and grease. The battery is toast so I'll get a new 1, and a plug. Anything else I need to do? This is my 1st Yamaha so anything you can suggest or info on this quad would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and help!

I had an 85 I got as a bike in a box that I restored and sold for 1300.00, not a bad little quad, at least with the 86 you have suspension, those quads are pretty much bullet proof if you just do frequent oil changes, just watch the rear axle carrier, mine cracked from serious trail riding and had to aluminum welded, other than that I had no problems with it at all, most of the engine parts will interchange with the timberwolf 250 and the yfm225.
