Does anyone know the true stock speeds of the Blaster, Warrior, and Honda 400ex? I find speeds in these forums that range from 50-90 mph and I know that many of those are false.

Thanks,

Anthony

300 EX/Mojave 53
Blaster 54
Warrior 56
400 EX 64
Banshee 70
DS 650 71
Raptor 75

That is to just give you a general idea. There are many conflicting views this is jsut from my own experience, interpretation, etc.

aar0, Don't believe magazine reviews with radar guns as they are all much much much lower than the true speeds achieved by many of the posters on these forums. For example. Pretty much every ATV will do at least 80 MPH when piloted by many of the ATV forum readers. Actually, Moto4dx seems to have pretty accurate numbers as far as I can tell.

Speed depends on location and rider abilities. But Moto's seems right, but top speed honestly that differs by 5 mph or less means nothing unless you're in a drag. 300ex's with the low end power can jump infront of warriors or blasters, and then its up to see how the riding area and rider is.. people can't complain that a stock warrior is better than a stock 300ex because if you lose to a stock warrior with your stock 300ex, its your own fault cuz your not as good a rider as the warrior. Samething goes with most quads, but I mean, the better RIDER DOESN'T ALWAYS win when there's a 10-20 mph difference.
By the way I think moto's is right but id say most his quad ratings are 1 mph low. (BUT AGAIN THATS 1mph is MEANINGLESS I think.)

Is the blaster top speed with like a 190 pound rider? Because ive heard that they go a bit faster than that. Im not trying to start any arguments with this so please dont take this as one. I weigh a little over 100 pounds and am 14. My bike has an FMF fatty pipe with turbine core 2 silencer. I really want to know what the real top speed is of my bike. Thanks in advance

Quadfather, I was being sarcastic about the 80 MPH on just about any quad.

Alibaba, I don't see what a riders abilities has to do with top speed.

Daredevil1, I don't honestly think that rider weight has much to do with top speed. It does have a lot do with acceleration, though. Actually, the Blaster speed posted seemed a little higher than I remember reading and measuring myself, not much though.

Well i'v rode top speed on my blaster between to mile markers on the high way and timed it, it took exactly 62-64 seconds each time. That means a top speed of 56-58 mph. I weigh 125 btw. I'v alos done it on my scrambler and it took around 56-58 seconds, so its around 62-64 mph.

Daredevil I have to agree with Wyorider. Top Speed is Top Speed and only acceleration is affected by weight. Now if you're 300lbs on a blaster yeah it may be a bit slower (hahahaha)

If you know someone with a GPS, you can get a good idea of the top speed of your bike. Most GPS units read in tenths of a mph, but I think it's probably only accurate to within about 2-3mph. Still it'll be pretty close and probably as accurate as a radar gun.
