If there was anything that I didn't like about my Raptor, it is the fact that is likes to two-wheel in corners more then it likes to slide. Maxxis Razrs all around helped some....but it still hooks up like crazy.

Would 2'' rear axle spacers give me the extra width I need to get her to slide? I don't jump much or race, so I don't want to spend the $$ for a wider axle. I won't flip my front rims around, I have heard too many bad things about doing that. What have you guys done to your Raptors to get them to slide? Thanks.

You could put them on the front or back, I think front is safer because you dont risk bending the axle.

What about offset wheels? I would love to get some Douglas Ultimate wheels or something like that. Anybody have them and do they help alot? What about $$?

I got some offset 10x10 wheels and they helped out a lot. I got rid of my 5in spacers cuz it was WAY too wide.

A 10 inch wheel? Like what the 03 Predator runs? Last I remembered, Preds have the ability to put her sideways whenever they want to, alot of that comes from the 10" wheels as the 04's went to a 9" wheel. Anyone else with offsets? Thanks.

thats weird, my tires helped me out a lot. They are offset so they stick out farther so they gave it more stability. But when I had my stock tires and I put on the 5in spacers, it helped out a lot and with the front drop kit, it was a donut machine. I could do donuts on anything and not worry about flipping.

The best mod to make your Raptor handle and slide better is FRONT SHOCKS. The front fac. shocks are nasty, they start the whole tippy feeling. The front starts to roll or tip and the rest of the quad follows. I've had 3 raps and the shocks always did more than the +4 axle. It was like putting training wheels on the quad because the tippy 2 wheeling feeling was 90% gone after the new shocks were installed.

I've played with front VS. rear width and this is what I found:

1) Front wider than rear = oversteer condition, rear end slides around easy, sometimes too easy.
2) Rear wider than front = understeer condition, front end pushes in turn, kinda feels like it doesnt want to turn.

Based on what you describe I would widen the front a bit (offset wheels are the cheap way and seem to be working well for me). This will let the rear end come around easier. Dont go crazy, 1-2" total is likely all ya need. Try experimenting around.

Hope this helps.
