Default Raptor problems 01/02 models ????

Can anyone tell me known problems with the 2001 2002 raptors I am looking at buying a 2001 or 2002 model just like to know what i am getting into..

Transmission changed in 02' but how severe is the problem with the 01's? frequent?

Default Raptor problems 01/02 models ????

my tranny is still good-praise the lord and a good thing about the 01 is titanium valves and 2 other bad things are faulty starter motor(may be on other year models)to fix-189 for L&A designs(dont buy another stocker it will happen again lol) and carberators pop off(may be on other year models or just mine lol)to fix-was 90 reduced to 60 i think for UPP boots and whats up with the letters instead of words for companies these days dag nabbit

Default Raptor problems 01/02 models ????

didn't the 01's have alluminum subframes? i would also like to kno if the 2001's has titanuim valves. i don't see why they would get rid of em....

This is correct.
i see, so i'm takin that they must have been weak. the new 450's subfrmaes are alluminum to save wieght, so they ealier raptors were prolly a little lighter.

Default Raptor problems 01/02 models ????

'01 Raptor had aluminum subframe changed in '02 to increase strength. It never had titanium valves, the 450 yam did.
