Piston and cam are in!
true, no air box makes a big difference. I told her to take it off but she doesnt want to. Ive had some guys ask me about my intake but they are afraid that not even the foam filters can take care of the dust they ride in at the desert, but so far I havent had any problems
BTW
I heard some guy at my dealer talking crap about wiseco pistons and how they are junk and are so cheap, he said they are cast aluminum and not forged like JEs. Also saw a guy spray some filter oil INSIDE the filter, not OUTSIDE. I dont think these guys know what the hell they are doing/talking about. Makes me feel more secure knowing Im doing the work and not messing anything up. Whats ur input on wiseco pistons?

This is what it says on Wisecos site.
Wiseco started in the off-road market some 60 years ago. Its aluminum-forged pistons are lighter and more dependable than most cast or hypereutectic pistons, giving you the performance you want. Wiseco uses the world’s most advanced forging process followed by an extensive heat-treat and finishing process that assures performance and reliability.

I told they guy that the pistons are forged, but some people are just hard headed. Im thinking about porting and polishing my engine but Im not sure the stock carbs can handle so much air, I feel like Im already pushing them to their limits and I dont want to make a simple mod and have to buy some $800 carbs. I started off with 148/150 dynos and Im already at 190. Can the stockers be modded? What would you think is the limit for the stock carbs, modded and unmodded?
