There aren't that much if any faster at all then a Warrior. Some guy on here beat a stock raptor 350 with his piped warrior by around 2 lengths. I love my Warrior. It was my frist sport quad and will probably be my only sport quad for a loonnnng time. I'm figuring hopefully by the end of summer, after working, if I can save up for the FST 446kit.
The choice is really your choice. Go to your dealer, sit on both, ask questions (don't believe everything from the dealer, the one around here told me the YFZ450 could do 119mph.)ask questions on here, find someone that has a warrior, ask for a test ride. Do the same if you know anyone with a Rap350. Then make your choice.
I wish I could have the footpegs off of the Raptor350.....that would be about the only thing I would want.

not sure about top speed but they are pretty fast(guessing about 50 to 60... but for that kind of money...I would get the ltz400 by Suzuki....it's only like 5300 bucks in Phoenix and alot more power than those 350 models(just a thought)

In mud you will be covered with it on either of these machines, and once you're covered a bit extra from the raptor vs. warrior won't matter.
Regards of the Raptor and Warrior top speeds, I would say roughly the same. I don't know what the gearing is on the new raptor, but I would say that it's the same as the Warrior .. 13/40. The warrior has 22" balloons and the Raptor has 20" flatter profile tires.
I agree with the person who said the Warrior looks better, not just because I have one but because Yamaha has too dang many raptor look-a-likes already. The Warrior and the Banshee are distinctive looking. There's never a question about what it is approaching you when dealing with those two machines
As for being an "up to date" warrior, the new Raptor is all about plastics. And a newer carb. Some have contended that the rap has a different cam as well, but I'm not sure if that's the case. The rap has a newer exhaust too. Neither of those improvments will make much difference, so overall the top speed should go to the Warrior because of it's taller tires, not to say that it will though.
All that being said, if I had a choice of a new quad right now between the Raptor 350 and the Warrior, I'd go with the Raptor. Why buy something brand new that's being replaced?? If you want a Warrior get a decently new (03/04) used for a good price.
