This will be my first quauds and i wanted somthing not that expensive but still got the power. which one should i get the raptor 350 or the warrior. I lilve in Bonnyville Alberta there a couple lil'dunes and mostly trails with LOTS and Lost of mud. If that makes a difference in your choice

I was going to say the raptor until you said lots of mud.I think the warrior might have a little better protection from mud with its full fenders and more ground clearance with its 22 inch tires. The Raptor does have lots of improvements though but most of them are geared to making it more sporty than the warrior. If I was you I would go to a Yamaha dealer and compare them side by side.Sit on them and check everything out.Maybe you'd be better off with a utility machine for lots of mud.

I'd be inclined to go with the 350 Raptor because, the Warrior although tried and true, is 20 year old technology that doesn't want to wheelie, has an ancient motor, is quite heavy for a midsize quad. And I really wonder why they still sell both, I bet it's because they probably have a zillion Warrior parts to keep building them from.... I am not completely sure if the Warrior and the 350 Raptor share the same old engine or not, but just the frame technology changes would do it for me.
Yep my money would go with the newer technology. But it's your money, check both out, check out the 4x4 350 they make too, it looks like a nice package. You say you want to go mudding alot, 4x4 with racks full of gear might be the ticket.....I think the Bruin is the 350...
But I can definately tell you in no uncertain terms, that one ride thru the mudd on a sport quad, and I gaurantee, you will have anew found fondness of the nice big fat fenders on the Utility quads. Early this year my kid and I rode side by side thru muddy trails at Hollister Hills California, and after the first short ride, the Kid, riding the Raptor, was "done". He was covered in mud and not happy about it. Meanwhile I did not have a spec of mud on me anyway, because my fenders on the Prairie had collected all the mud......Sport quads can be great fun, but there is price to pay for riding in the mud.

If you're going to be riding a lot of mud with trails, I'd say shoot for a sport-utility machine. What's your budget?

I would suggest the warrior because many people already have riden it in mud and I have heard nothing but good things and I also own a warrior the raptor 350 has its high spots but the raptor hasent been given a good reputation in mud *YET* that the warrior has.But I would suggest since you are going in mud the warrior is the way to go, its really reliable and has plenty of power.
