My friend is thinking about getting a raptor , and many people have told him that it is not a good idea, and that it is a death trap. He is 17 and is a fairly large fella, and he wants a sport bike with a clutch and reverse, and we figured that the 660 raptor would be the best bet. What do you think about the raptor? What are the good points of it , and the bad ones. We mostly ride in the woods, and on a small track. any help would be appreciated.

 

it depends on his experience, im a 19 now and a bigger guy and have been riding now since i was 5, so ive got quite the experience. ive been asking people about the yfz or raptor and they say the raptor is the best bet for a big guy. they say the yfz is like riding a blaster if your a bigger guy. if hes mature and responsible then a raptor shouldnt be a concern, youve just gotta be able to tame the beast and know how to ride it thats all. hope i could help

 

No more a death trap than anything else. It's a performance bike responsible use is the key.

 

i have never ridden b4 and bought 04 raptor. It is a rush and the fastest thing i have ridden w/out doors and seatbelts. He needs to be careful cause it is fast and he needs to learn how to brake, shift, corner..etc... before he tries anything over 35-40 mph. just be careful and start out slow
