There are alot of Texas riders on here. How about a race then a 3rd party can post the results?

 

Yeah Idont even like stock banshees, or even piped ones, but i love my banshee. I wish all quads had kickstart, Id rather rely on me to start it rather than electric stuff. Not to mention the weight savings. I have replaced every starting component on my raptor, wish it had a kick start

 

I think my Warrior would win against both of them..

oh geez....I just buy dirtwheels for the pictures....the articals are a joke...oh well....I would much rahter have a kickstart on a quad in the dunes...No battery or anything to worry about....Trials wouldn't be nice if you would stall it on a steep hill like there are around here...Then electric start would be needed...but the Banshee isn't made for trails...now is it?

for all you guys saying that dirtwheels goes with whatever manufacturer pays them more money...come on, you think that bombardier, which probably sells a small fraction of the bikes yamaha does actually paid them more money? i guarantee the ds is a way better quad in the dunes stock for stock. it's not all about racing...of course the banshee is faster (although not in stock form it's not) but for an all around comfortable ride with duning, jumping, racing, etc. the ds is definitely better in my opinion

I gave up reading Dirtwheels a couple of years ago, it was too irritating but I do pick one up every now and then as a parts catalog.
The first Banshee I raced I beat by a little and the guy said it was all stock. I was looking at his pipes and pointed them out and he then proceded with a nice long list of all the mods he had on it. The DS can deffinately hang with somewhat modded Shees but once they get into motor work it's goodbye DS.
I've ridden all kinds of quads and there is no comparing the DS to any of them. That's not a bragging statement, I just mean they are so different there isn't much use in comparing tthem. Basically the DS is THE quad for large riders. If you want bikes to compare to Banshees, the YFZ, Honda 450, Predator and Canondale are all great quads and made for similar size riders.

Cool74 needs to post where he is located at. One guy in our group has a DS with a Ron Woods stage 3 kit installed. If his "Super Raptor" Is this fast then they should be a good match for each other. As for the 300hp raptor, He's prolly close, i mean yoshi pipe, jet kit, thats good for about 240 or so right???? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
