Default increase or decrease

on my yamaha atv it has a little screw on the bottom right of the atv, about 3 inches above where the rear brake first starts. and it says increase / decrease. I was wondering if anyone knows what that means. iam goin to buy the owners manual soon, but its gonna be a while before i get a chance to visit the dealer ship. I was hoping some one could help me. Thanks alot.

thanks alot. i was reading the stored banshee problems. and iam anxious to see what the problem was. My atv is a 1990 and was stored for about 8 months before i bought it. and is doin close the same thing. its like its not idleing right. i messed with the throttle screw, iam thinking there might be old gas in the lines so iam goin to burn up all my gas and reservers untill it wont run. Let me know if that will mess anything up. again thanks.
