mph? how fast can your quad go top speed
Shav0:
I usually switch between 14/38 and 14/36
I'm thinking a 37 would be the best for all around with my mods but I am not sure if they make those.
Right now I have ESR full exhaust, G3 power curve reeds with 12mm torque spacer, k&n filter, .020 over with a forged piston
and also a CR head gasket for a little more compression.
I'm still playing with my gearing a little bit since I always switch between riding on blacktop , dirt and open fields with trails.
I made the mistake of running 13/39 gearing with all my mods once just because I wanted to see the difference in low end.
Well, I forgot to change my sprockets back and decided to take a ride down the highway a bit. I revved it up a few thousand rpm or so
and jumped the clutch. The front end came flying up in 1st thru 4th like a rocket and when I got up to about 6th I could hear
my chain bounce a little bit. I pulled over and there were 4 teeth busted completely off my front sprocket.
Will never make that mistake again! :-)

than 1/4 mile. On blacktop, I'd recon that viper would look pretty sad. Besides, viper's have very very poor low end power.

68mph 13/40 gearing (takes forever)
63mph 12/40 gearing (bit quicker)
65mph 12/42 gearing (thinking this one may be bogus as I suffered a defunct cable shortly after attaining this speed)
Now have 15/40 gearing installed for a long trail ride coming up in the next couple of weeks. If I get a chance I'll do a speed test with that, but I suspect it will be 68mph or less .. 15/40 is pretty tall gearing for the Warrior, even after I get the carb re-jetted and tuned in ..
