what octane gas do you run?i run 87 but someone said to use at least 89 or i will hurt the engine quicker or something and i'll have more power with 89. i tried 89 and could tell no difference between the 2.

 

my friend runs 89 in his,but i would go to 91 he tried it once he said it gave it a lot more power but i dont know if it would hurt the engine or knot.

I run 100 octane but I have a CT240 kit. I would run 93 at least if I was you. My wifes blaster is stock and I run 93 octane in it and it runs great.

 

my dealer says run no less than 90, i ran 87 at first and then switched to 91 i could feel the diffrence

In a Blaster engine with stock compression, it will do you no good to run higher than 89 octane. Octane is a measure of the stability of the fuel. As compression ratio rises...a more stable fuel is needed to prevent detonation. Higher octane gasoline actually will burn slower than a lower octane. In a stock engine, you can actually lose A SMALL AMOUNT of power by running the higher octane...because it just doesn't burn fast enough.

 

i get 93 octane (premiun) and mix it with octane boost( at wal mart) and get a octane of about 100. it make it run a lot cleaner.

 

What exactly do you mean by "cleaner"? Raising the octane of the gasoline does not change how "clean" the fuel itself is. If you still have stock compression, you are just wasting your money.

 

I run 92 octane. The blaster's stock compression doesn't require high octane gas, but when the oil mixes in it lowers the octane. The owners manual recomends 92 octane minimum.
