Default Can someone help me with my blaster?

Hello, my name is Rem and i own a bone stock 1994 blaster. I was trying to start my blaster for about 30 kicks and it wouldnt start. i checked spark plug, fuel and stator case, air filter, and de-choked it. i dont need to choke much because i live in tucson ,AZ. i tried kicking it again and it backfired as loud as a gunshot. i'm not too smart with engines and this yet so if anyone has any suggestions as to what could be wrong, a response would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

it didnt look fouled... i think part of the problem was that it was the stock sparkplug. the one issued in 1994. do u know if the timing is screwed up or something. my dad says it could be the timing and/or the stator is messed up

Do you have good spark? If you do then it probably isnt a igniton/electrical problem.

why did it stop running in the first place? did it bog and die, did it lock up, if tell me what happened to begin with i can probably give u an answer, but heres some thing u can try, bleed the injector, run some fresh gas, clean the carb, completely disassemble it and spray it down with some carb & choke cleaner, put a new spark plug in, if it dosnt start u got something wrong internally

lol, ya it was getting spark. i even held the spark plug cover thing and made sure it was working(ouch!!!) but ill try disassembling the carb because it did bog out. my dad could start it for like 15 seconds , then it would die. so theres no chance of being a timing problem?? P.S. what is the timing. much appreciation:

u dont have to mess with the timing unless u have motor work and want to run a higher octane for added compression, so timing isnt the problem, looks to me that all u need is a good carb cleaning and you should be up and running again, when the motor locks up is whenu have ur serious problems good luck bud hope u get it started
