ok whats up, my dad has a 2002 raptor with full yosh exhaust, i believe 160 and 165 jets, i was told to take the lid off(this info came from duncan racing i believe) but with the lid off it sux, and even with it on. We had the valves adjusted once after we bought the bike at our local dealer, but it seemed slow, so we took it to a performance shop(dmc slip on when taken to performance shop), they put a jet kit in and said they had to readjust the valves, then they dynoed the bike, putting out only 32hp at the wheels, the bike has not ran good since they did work on the bike, i took the jet kit out, installed the yosh system with the 160/165 jets, this did help the bike, but last weekend in glamis the bike had absolutely no power, my buddy has same bike and setup and it runs great. when trying to get this bike jetted and messing with air lid, the bike is very tempramental, also it seems to pop, the only thing i can think is the valves are way out of wack, what do you guys think, could the valves be the problem, my dad is ready to burn the bike.
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance

it could be the valves but i mean the raptor stock is 32 hp granted you have the pipe on it and the jet kit it should do more than that (he11 my warrior puts out 44 hp) but i mean ive never heard of this problem with the raptors usually they rip try bringing it to a dealer they usually can tell u if an other shop screwed something up and r u sure your have teh rite jets in it??

If you have an aftermarket air filter, take the airbox lid off. If you're running 160/165 GYTR jets you should be ok. If it pops when you let off the throttle or when you're at full throttle you are too lean and maybe doing damage to the quad. Sounds like you need to get more fuel to it.
