banshee won't rev
my 2000 banshee was running perfect,i was climbing a hill when i stalled out cause of a stump.then, the banshee will start but will not rev,it wont stall when i give it gas,it just will not rev.i can hear the carbs open up,but no rev,i have good compression, spark and gas to both cylinders.i did notice that my little hose going from carb to carb had come loose on one end,but that wasnt the problem. i know both carbs are clean, cause i went through them as soon as i got home,al jets and both floats are clean and working, the guy at the shop said maybe the parking brake was doing it,but i have no parking brake switch/system, can anyone please help me?

You have a parking brake lever unless you have changed the clutch perch. If the bike fliped or for some reason anything happened to the left lever it won't rev. Banshees come with a rev limiter that is turned on when the parking brake is engaged and is no doubtely your problem.

i still have the same perch, but the parking brake lever/wires have been removed from where they were on the perch, and there is nothing conneted to the parking brake part of the caliper in the rear, could the wires that USED to run up to the parking brake lever have become crossed or uncrossed ? do you know what color the wires are that go to the parking brake lever perch?

Go look at your other banshee and see. It has to be the rev limiter though, Because if it was anything else it wouldn't start and run fine and just not rev. Just to be sure check and make sure the needles haven't fallen out of the slides. I went and looked at my wires and they were both black. Hope this helps.

one more for you guys, why do my banshees only run right when he air screws are almost all the way in?is it because they are jetted to lean? if i take them out even one turn, they bog a little when you gas em.
oh yeah, congrats on the advice you guys,it was the parking brake, whoever owned it before me rigged the switch and tucked it under, and his rig job wore out.
