Is it normal for then to crumble (like glass falling off a counter) because thats what happened to them lol. Im making a list of what ill need then ill call up bob. Trying to keep the cost under 700 lol, but this is very addictive. What type of clutches would your reccomend?

The GYT-R clutch kit. But get an extra normal size fiber and eliminate the cushion spring.

 

Hey.... Well my Engine cost to much to repair so my parents told me they wont fix it for me. I think the total was around 1600 or 1700. So now i just have a rolling chassis. I have no idea what im going to do withought riding [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] . What can i do with a rolling chassis?

First off it DEPENDS ON WHAT ALL HAS GONE WRONG. I had my piston hit a valve, I emailed bob and chatted with him on the phone, everyone on the here was very helpful, BUT in the end I decided not to have it ported and spend the 1600 bucks, I bought a Stage 2 HOT CAM off ebay for 100 bucks, NO core dep. then i bought a JE piston straight from JE for 150, With the stage 2 cam you need new dual rate springs, 150, plus regrinding the vavle seats was 45 bucks. It was like 40-50 bucks for the seals. If you ask somone will send you or provide a link to the ONLINE repair manual so you don't waste 50+ bucks on a paper manual. I did all the work myself, it's tricky doing it if you have never done it before but anyone can do it if you go slow and read it twice before you do anything. So for 450.00 I got a sweet deal I felt, still running the stock carbs, I have the CT High Output kit from www.CTRACING.com IT RUNS LIKE A CHAMP anymore power and you would HAVE to extend the swingarm. If you do not want to do the work yourself, ask your local shop what they would charge, take all your plastics off and such because theres an hour worth of labor to do JUST THAT. If you do decide to do it yourself buy a bottle of blue locktight and use it on EVERY thing. mine shakes anything it can lose.... Any questions PM me.

 

At WORST if you ride a HELL of alot you might have to tear down the top end and put a new set of valves in. I have over 30 jours on mine now and it still runs like a rape ape.

 

You can get a used raptor engine off ebay for under $1000 or I might be able to get you one this summer for alot cheaper, I deal in atv and motorcycle parts so keep in touch with me and I'll see what I can do for you.
