So I know a lot of us are thinking Yamaha is going to bump up the displacement in their YFZ for next year. If they do make it true 450 how much faster do you think it would be? How much additional HP ? Would it really make that much of a difference?

 

Lets see, that would be a 2.22% displacement increase. So if it actually gave a 2.22% power gain (which it probably wouldnt) you would gain 3/4 of a hp. You have to consider nothing ever happens like it should. You might be lucky to come out with 1/2 a hp more. Hmm.... the difference from one identical motor to the next is probably greater than that.
