Have you considered the Yoshimura Titanium goes for about $630.00 @ rockymountainatv. If I could unload my graydon crap line I totaly would. Thats going to be my next pipe, the Yoshimura.

Sparks, Jardine, Tc, Thundey Alley and many more. I am buying the tc but i was also considering the Thunder Alley. Good luck on your decision.

"Please correct me if I'm wrong."

You are very wrong. I will try my best to correct you since you asked, but I know there are alot more folks out there that know more exhaust physics than do I.

Take a stock engine with the lid off and a KandN filter. Dyno it with the stock exhast and you will get a baseline curve. Dyno it with a good freeflowing aftemarket exhaust like the Yosh, etc, and you will get a decent gain of power throughout the RPM range. Dyno it with an open header like the MBRP drag pipe and you will get crappy low end torque but maybe some top end gains. That is a fact. It works the same way on v-8s as it does with single cylinders. My truck is a great example. With a stock exhaust system it is OK. With a low restriction FLOMASTER catback system it gains noticeably on the top end but low end torque and towing ability is not quite as good. If I put a straight header on it it would MOVE at high RPMs but would lose ALOT of low end torque and power. It all has to do with backpressure and exhaust scavenging. It is just as big of deal with 4strokes as it is with 2smokes.

4stoke pipes with less back pressure are better to a certain point, then you begin to lose a lot of the low RPM power.

The GYTR gives good power gains, but they don't hold up very well. We've had the GYTR on for about 4-5 months and it is falling apart, literally.

I would personally go with Yoshi or Sparks next time.

My friend just put the gytr on and it felt like a nice power gain, but I hope it's not going to fall off. I had not heard that they were doing this. Has any one else had this problem? The Yoshi system looked good but it's expensive and I did'nt know how loud they were. O yea, How much difference will a head pipe make? It's just that same damn thing in a lighter metal right?
Thanks for the Help.
