Itp 589 tires?
#3
I've heard riding buddies say they are smoothier on hardpack then most other mud tires, but not as smooth at MudLites. Pretty much made my mind up on the MudLites
Both are awesome tires though!

I was wondering the same thing, i was going for the mud lites but the 589's are more of a meaner looking tire, every griz owner wants the mean YAMAHA GRIZZLY 660 Bad *** look Know that i know they go smooth on hard surfaces i am more confident about getting them

I bought my A/C 500i, with the Titan 589's all around. ITP, bought Titan and now the name has changed. Same tire and performance. These are very good tires in mud & snow. I personnally like them on hard surface as you guys describe. I would caution you on one subject about these tires. Sometimes when climbing hills, if there's tall grass on the sides, you must be aware not to let your tires get into the grassy area on either side. The 589's like grass and will guide your front end off the trail, into the grass. I find that it's not as bad in four wheel drive as is in two wheel drive. Three weeks ago, I had an accident on my A/C when I was trying out my brake & throttle adjustments. I was in a grassy field when I hit the throttle, the right front caught some tall grass, pulled the handlebars to the right and the quad flipped. It did roll back to the wheels and I was able to ride it home. I do like these tires but it's like anything else, you have to know your machine. Hopefully, this is information somebody can use.

ITP 589's are an awesome tire, they love to dig! Keep that in mind when you are in the mud, just enough throttle to keep you moving or they will dig you a grave. I also run Mud Bugs on my other quad, but don't like the way they pick up and chuck the small stones with the grooves in the tread, really beats the crap out of your fenders and makes a hell of a racket!
