not the metal components but your wet clutch wont last long. It will soak up the friction modifiers, heat up, slip and burn out.

Not sure why you would need it. They usually have a chemical, ( I think it an ester), that swells up the rubber components. Like seals, and when they swell up, they seal the leaks. But if youre not having any oil burning or oil leaking problems, i wouldnt put anything in there but the recommended oil.
Its a huge industry, that works by using fear as a motivator, fear youre motor wont last, fear that you loosing money, fear that youll lose horsepower. Kind of like what our government is doing to us about terrorism. Dont buy into the snake oil arguments, just say no.

Yeah, I am firmly against all of the supposedly high tech pixie dust and unidentifiable wonder goo that are marketed to increase horsepower and extend engine life and raise the dead. That goes for cars, truck motorcycles ATVs lawnmowers etc.

I stick to what fluids the manufacturer recommends and change them as needed.

If an engine is totally trashed, smoking and on it's last legs I can see no harm in trying this junk just for curiosity's sake just to see if you can wring a few more miles out of a dying engine.

Keep it out of new or good running engines though.
