I ride a two stroke but my brother rides a four. I dont really care either way. I just know that Im happy with what I got and he's happy with his (but I secretly know mines better [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] ).

why are some of us thumper riders getting stereotyped with posers saying we are cocky, slow, we cry when we get beat (not yet for me), blah blah blah. Dont try to devide quads into categories, that does nothing to advance quads! I own a banshee and for what i ride, id rather have the R.

it all comes down to time and money as to how fast a machine will go or how reliable it will be. If you got enough money you can buy all the power you want, and if you got enough time to really do every last trick during assembly then it will hold up a long time. the major difference is the rider 2 stroke, 4 stroke it dont matter if your riding skills suck, you will get beat alot and your bike wont last as long. So whine all you want about what is better it makes no difference, you should be talking trash about who has the most skills. I will spank most all of you on hills, sand,mud, hard pack, and what everelse you want to try. I dont care what we ride, 2 or 4 dont make no difference to me, those out there who really know how to ride know what I'm talking about, it's 90% rider skill so quit making excuses for yourself and stop blaming the quad. And I still say my old four stroke will smoke you all!!!!

370banshee, ok, the first quarter of your post seems right on. I cant believe I am doing this but here it goes. I dont like raptors PERSONALLY, but to bash on them that hard is rediculous. I konw a banhsee has more drag potential than all of them, but a raptor sure does give a shee a run for it's money there bud. And as for the lt250 coming out 1st(which is true) if you so your homework you will find out that the 250r was being tested long before the LT. Besides Honda came out with the atc250 before all of them. So what is your point. And as for the thumpers jumping in, no one is here to rain on ur parade, but it started out bashing thumpers so thumper riders defend themselve's. I love 2-strokes, but I also take affence to statements against thumpers!

ok motox lets get something striaght. i said the first quad was the LT250r. now that would not include a trike (ATC250R) but while we are on the thopic thats also a 2 stroke. you can say what you want about raptors. but did i say anything that isn't true??? are raptors not the king of the "design flaw" i'm a yamaha guy through and through but sometimes you have to admit that something is crap. maybe with more r&d the raptor woudl perform and hold up better but everybody knows that the raptor was a quick responce to the 400ex. believe it if you want and keep quiet if you don't. anyway the honda R is a better quad than the LT anyday and it may have been in testing before the LT but the fact of the matter is that the LT came out first. ok now what was wrong with the rest of my post??? nothing evidently. i say ride waht you want. if you don't like 2 strokes then i say leave us alone in a post titled "2 strokers unite" and just so you know i'll speak freely about raptors. the way i see it they are the corvair of the quad world. all you yamaha guys can say it now nobody is gonna make you ride a honda if you say it. if you raptor guys can't accept that you bought the wrong quad then i'm sorry. you can post about banshees needin maintenence if you want. and say that 2 stroke pollute. that doesn't bother me. i acceot all 3 of my shees for what they are. they have rattley kickers, they aren't the best trial quad, and they don't handle anything like a 250r all these things i know. but i also know something else. i never have to adjust my valves. and that i like. ok go ahead and say thing like i can't handle the 4 stoke engien maintence if you want but i have built big bore 400ex's and other 4 strokes for my friends and other people that actually paid me!! every quad tah i have built i have rode and with every 4 stroke i ride stock or modded the same thing comes to mind. boring. they don't have the 2 stroke kick or the ring ding exhaust. i need that powerband that unadulterated "better hold the f*ck on"acceleration that a 2 stroke has. make fun if you want but you all know that a banshee, zilla, 250r, or tecate will eat up a raptor, v-force, 400ex, ltz/kfx 400, or any other 4 stroke. the YFZ450 and the 450r are closer but they have yet to be as fast. and they still will never have the feel or look of a 2 stroke with a big *** chrome expansion chamber on the side. not to mention that they have yet to show they are better than a 250r on the track. i wanna see some proof guys. the 250r will stay the king or motocross forever. get used to it. hell hona has been living on teh legacy of the R for many years why else do you think they called the 400ex and the 450r the "new 250r" it's not never will be. again i'm not bashing 4 strokes just relaying the truth to the DIRTWHEELS brain washed masses of the ATV world. oh yeah and bashing on the CRAPTOR
