Our 87 Warrior still rocks and will have no problems beating the crappy wannabe 350 Raptor. (my son now jumps with this tough bike).

we'll always remember the warrior!!! cheers

Husky how can you call the raptor 350 crappy. you say you can beat it but look at your signature..87 Yamaha Warrior-Lots of engine performance mods..well maybe thats why you beat him and probably a LOT more experience. And stock for stock the Raptor 350 would beat the warrior

04 suzuki...
you may be right, I'm just a little on the sad side when I see the warrior go... after all they made them for that long ( with few changes)for a reason. One of the reasons is that they are a very dependeble unit with lots of aftermarket parts on the market and easy to modify for any kind of work or play one can imagine.

I mostly agree with you guys. The Warrior isn't gone, just got a new body and a few other things. However, I don't like how Yamaha named it a Raptor. So now we have the Raptor 660, 350, 80, and 60 right? Looking at the way they're going, I am slightly glad to see the Banshee goin, because I fear if it stayed Yamaha would change it's looks and make it a Raptor too. Don't get me wrong, I think the Banshee is an awesome machine, but it would kill me to see it ruined in a similar way the Warrior was. Yamaha is loosing their creativness. I used to be able to tell the year of a bike by the plastics, now, I don't have a cluse what is what. Everything is Blue and looks the same. I am loyal to Yamaha's quads, but geez, they need their creative touch back. I think they should go back to their old ways where each model year had a distinct set of colors, and riders could easily identify one quad from another. It's almost to the point where I have to look a second time to figure out what is cruisiing on the dunes. And I have all but given up on trying to determine what year a bike is. The biggest thing that proves Yamaha has lost creativity, is their new sport quad....the YFZ450. It doesn't even have a name, it's a model number. Now they're just like Honda. I wish they would have given it a name. Why Yamaha? Why?
