Default shaving the head on the blaster

My son is wanting to get a little more oommpphh from his blaster he wants to shave the head 20 thousandths. Is there noticeable improvment over stock and, can he still run pump gas? We are at sea level and in my area the only premium gas we have is 91 octane. Also can he reuse the same head gasket or not? And one more question how much to torque the head bolts to??

thanx,
JLew

.020 is not all that much, should be fine to run super unleaded. Yes you can use the same gasket if it is not damaged when removed. I know Vito's sells a high compression gasket kit for the Blaster.
The torque should be around 23 to 25 ftlbs. I could be wrong though!

I shaved the head on my blaster 0.040. That is the absolute Limit on 91 pump gas which is also what I run. Depending on how long the gasket was in there i would change it.

The mannual says 20 ft/pds.. ride it and then re-torque.
